And the TrackPoint pointing stick works with an open source add-on. I still run legacy Windows apps on Windows XP on VirtualBox on Windows. This works seamlessly. While I still have a residual fondness for Windows XP, the more I use Ubuntu the more I prefer it to Windows. Ubuntu 9.10 works very well on my ThinkPad X61 – wireless, volume controls, screen brightness controls, power management all work out of the box. And the TrackPoint pointing stick works with an open source add-on.

I still run legacy Windows apps on Windows XP on VirtualBox on Windows. This works seamlessly.

While I still have a residual fondness for Windows XP, the more I use Ubuntu the more I prefer it to Windows.
